History

Established in 2006.

During her years as a student, a professional singer, and a teacher, SFYS creator Kimberly Harrison has seen how fear and misunderstandings about the voice hold so many of us back, and not just from karaoke! They hold us back from experiencing life fully. Learning to sing in a safe, conscious, uplifting environment can open doors you didn't know were closed. In Matrix movie speak, it's like choosing the blue pill over the red pill. It will blow you away in all the right ways.

Meet the Business Owner

Kimberly Harrison has been teaching voice since 2001, and enjoys teaching all levels and ages. She's gifted at assessing what an individual needs to perform at their best. Her natural charm and exuberance put clients immediately at ease, and make learning easy and fun.

Ms. Harrison's has a B.A. in Music and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance. Her extensive training also includes two intensive years with legendary singer and vocal technician Phyllis Curtin, a summer at Tanglewood music festival, and a season with the Spoleto Italy Vocal Arts Symposium. As a performer Kimberly has sung with renowned vocal and orchestral ensembles, performed title roles in opera and music theater (including Anne, Merry Wives of Windsor; Yum-Yum, Mikado; Cinderella, Into the Woods), and premiered multiple works by contemporary composers. She is currently collaborating on a duo album and tour.
